Established over three decades ago, the Young Israel of Boca Raton was founded in anticipation of the future influx of Orthodox Jewry to the region. Presently, nearly one hundred families form part of its expanding community. Positioned as the most centrally located among all orthodox synagogues, with a diverse range of housing options and convenient access to kosher stores and restaurants, the surrounding Orthodox neighborhood is experiencing rapid growth. The demographics of the Young Israel congregation reflect a diverse mix of residents, including snow birds, snow flakes (seasonal residents), and full-time locals. The year-round population accounts for approximately 75% of the membership. With two Shacharith minyans held daily and three for Mincha/Maariv services, the spacious grounds of the Young Israel accommodate the upper boys’ school of the Torah Academy during their temporary stay.
